[Updated]GRILLED! DIGGS FACES FELONY OVER PRIVATE CHEF ‘STRANGLE’ SPAT
The Daily Dumpster Staff
Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs appeared in a Massachusetts court today to face a felony charge of strangulation or suffocation. According to the police report made public after a judge denied a request to seal it, a live-in personal chef alleges Diggs put her in a “chokehold” during a Dec. 2nd dispute over unpaid wages. Diggs’ attorney called the allegations “unsubstantiated” and rooted in a “financial dispute”.

The 1,000-Yard Stare-Down
Putting someone in a chokehold is just a “financial dispute” that wasn’t “resolved to the employee’s satisfaction”—at least that’s what the lawyers say. In the real world, if you don’t pay your bills and then allegedly smack the person asking for the cash, you’re usually just a deadbeat with a pending felony record.
It’s funny how a guy with a $69 million contract turns into a ghost when the chef wants her November rent money... or did he?. Diggs “categorically denies” the whole thing, but the Dedham Police report says his elbow was doing more work in the bedroom than it did in the endzone. January 23rd is the date he has to look the court in the eye—let’s see if he brings a checkbook or just another denial.
