GHOST MEALS & MALDIVES VILLAS: THE $430M LUNCH BOX HEIST
The Daily Dumpster Staff
New evidence in the Feeding Our Future scandal reveals that the “starving children” of Minnesota were actually funding a world tour for scammers. Prosecutors say at least $430 million meant for federal child nutrition was laundered through shell companies to buy luxury cars, Minneapolis mansions, and—the kicker—private villas in the Maldives.
The Grift: One defendant, Abdikerm Eidleh, allegedly used stolen lunch money to take a honeymoon in the Maldives and buy $30,000 in jewelry in Dubai. Another used a $250,000 “nutrition check” to buy a home in Plymouth while claiming to serve 6,000 meals a day in a town with barely half that population.

The Caviar & Corn-Dog Diet
While they were screaming about ‘hungry kids’ to get the checks signed, they were actually checking into $5,000-a-night overwater bungalows. They didn’t just steal the lunch money; they stole the whole cafeteria and traded it for a Lamborghini. It’s the most ‘circular’ scam in history: tax the parents, starve the kids, and buy a villa in a country most of those parents couldn’t find on a map.
